In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) is a witty and poignant exploration of intimacy, desire, and the early use of electricity in medicine. Set in the 1880s, it follows Dr. Givings and his wife Catherine as they navigate the emotional distance in their marriage. As treatments for "hysteria" unfold in the next room, deeper truths about love and connection emerge.
Producers - Leslie Williams Ellis and Gus Ibranyi
