The Chatham Players will hold auditions for “The Thanksgiving Play” by Larissa Fasthorse on Wednesday, June 24th and Friday, June 26th at 7pm at The Stanley Center, 94 Fairmount Ave, Chatham. Actors must check in to the auditions by 8:00pm. Production dates are September 18th to October 3rd, 2026.
What does an ethical play about the first Thanksgiving look like? In this laugh 'til you cringe satire, journey with the four most well-meaning and misplaced white people you know as they explore their place in and responsibility to the First Thanksgiving narrative. Who knows? You might learn something along the way about history you'd rather not remember.

Director Alysia Homminga seeks 4 performers, ages 20-70 for the following roles:
Logan (F) - 35-45, High School Drama Teacher who is trying her best. Vegan and feminist. Requires minimal intimacy.
Jaxton (M) - 35-45, Aspiring Actor / Yoga Practitioner and Logan’s Partner. PC to the extreme. Requires some stage combat and minimal intimacy.
Caden (M) - 30-45, Elementary Teacher with a robust knowledge of history and passion for theatre. Passionate and nerdy. Requires some stage combat.
Alicia (F) - 25-35, Actress from LA. Not the brightest bulb in the box. Beautiful and knows it. Could be mistaken for Native American.
Age ranges are flexible. As suggested by the playwright, we encourage any actors of color who are white passing to audition for all roles.
